Spotlight is the search feature built into 0SX Tiger. When you type in a query it builds up a display of files that are named in a way that includes the query, and files that have the query within them. Looking through the results it's not clear how the query might appear within a displayed file.

SpotInside uses similar technologies to find files and display results, but it also shows the queries within those results. Also, it waits until you finish and submit your query before firing off suggestions.

It may not search the same range of files as Spotlight (music files, email messages etc.), but for finding words and phrases within text files, PDFs and other such documents — it can't be beat.
