One at a Time Please

I may be working on a project and find myself with, say, three Safari windows open on the screen, and three Tofu windows. In order to concentrate on one thing at a time I could hide one of the applications, but even then I'd still have three windows showing. What if I want to just have one window of the three showing at a time, from a single application?

Enter Screenshot Helper.

When I launch it, a screen of plain color covers everything else that I'm working on; I then use a switcher, such as Witch, to bring a single application window to the front. Let's say it's a Tofu window. When I'm done reading that document I close that window and the next open Tofu window comes to the front automatically.

In essence, it's like in the olden days, when some scribe might have a desktop (as in the top of a real desk) strewn with papers. He'd tuck them under his blotter (Screenshot Helper) and pull one at a time to the top for reading without distractions.

This is not the intended use for Screenshot Helper; the intended use is to provide an un-cluttered background for taking full screen screenshots.

It's great for that too!
