OmniOutliner Pro describes itself as an Ideas Organizer. The immediate thing that impresses me is how extra columns can be added to the items. Usually (drag and drop parent and child) lists don't allow extra columns. You can see here how I'm using an extra column to remind me of the dimensions of my images.

Notice how good everything looks! That's always a big deal for me. It seems that any kind of an object can be dropped into an outline (images, URLs, folders, contacts); they first appear as neat buttons with simple descriptions—click on them and they either expand to show their contents or addresses, or they open the linked files.
You can bang away on it like I am here, on a simple project—or really go to town and customize the living daylights out of it with audio notes, smart formatting, a zillion ways to export and share etc.
This is a monster of an app, that's easy to get comfortable with: another big deal for me...
