The Movie, and Just the Movie

NicePlayer taps into the engine of the QuickTime player to present movie files—only, without the QuickTime interface. In fact, it presents the movies with no interface whatsoever. I don't know if something can be described as spectacularly simple, but that's what we have here.

No borders, no title bar, no controls—just the movie. Only when you hover over the window do controls appear; they fade out moments later. There are the usual menu commands and keyboard shortcuts for adjusting the screen size, skipping back and forward, blacking out the background etc.

Impress your friends with several movies running at once...

NicePlayer also taps into Apple's DVD Player if you want to watch DVDs windowed, but uncluttered. About the only thing missing are the QuickTime and DVD Player picture controls for adjusting brightness and color.
