Even Chaos can be Re-formatted

Once you get past the scary hand icon, this is one amazing piece of software.

One of the things that attracted me to the Mac platform in the first place was the way everything looked so "posh." Even the simplest applications appeared elegant and well arranged. This application takes that a step further—making your random thoughts or lists appear posh and nicely formatted.

The basic entry window lets you add items and siblings in a manner similar to DeepNotes, and other such list managers. You can slide these entries around to re-arrange them and their hierarchies. You can also add extra columns to the list to further categorize the items.

Then, you can create a map which shows your items in a graphical view...

This view can be customized in many ways including the type of map, the colors, the style of the lines etc. You can also re-arrange the items, add new ones and create relationships from within the map.

When you re-organize the map by choosing different styles—the transition is a beautiful sliding effect, similar to how Exposé operates. One final thing to note: Although the blurb for this application states that it's for OS 10.4, I'm using it on OS 10.3.9 with no problems whatsoever.
