Minuteur is the Perfect Timer!
For as long as I can remember, I've been looking for a countdown timer app that was as easy to use as: Click, Drag, Let Go.
Here it is...

Doesn't it look good? To use it you click the time ruler, drag it and let go. That's it. Perfect.
Other things you can do:
- Hold down the option key and type in the time you want the alarm (e.g. 2130 for 9:30 pm) and it immediately starts counting down to that time
- Just type any combination of minutes and seconds (e.g. 530 for 5 minutes thirty seconds) to have it jump to that countdown value
- Right-click on the ruler to choose from preset values
