Drag, Click, Saved

GrabberRaster is a screen grabbing utility. I grab a lot of screen shots in the course of building this site, so I've tried a few different methods; many methods are built right in the OS.

I like GrabberRaster because once it's launched I can take several grabs and they're automaticaly saved as high quality, reasonably sized jpegs. One click and, after renaming, they're ready for posting.

GrabberRaster brings up a hefty black frame that can be dragged about the screen. Using the key combination Cmd-1 through 9 changes the frame to preset sizes; Ctrl-1 through 9 selects various resolutions for the resulting image.

Or, choose to have the frame resizable and simply drag its corners to suit. Cmd-G or simply clicking on one of the cameras takes the shot.

This is one of those apps that is immediately, obviously, easy to use — with more power beneath the surface if you need it.
