Automate in Panther...

photo Drop is an application in which you design another application for manipulating images—sort of.

Using the configuration screen seen below, you design what you want to happen, and then you save that design as a droplet. Then you can drop images—or folders containing images, onto the droplet to make the changes.

I like to carry copies of a lot of my images in my PDA, so they need to be scaled down and flipped to display properly on its 480X640 screen. I made a folder of droplets to cover all of the associated contingencies.

I then use a Butler keystroke (yes, again I'm involving Butler!) to call up the folder in order to tweak the images before dropping them on the SD card. There is one gotcha though with photo Drop: you must work only with copies of the files because photo Drop saves them back on themselves.
