A Highly Featured HTML Editor

Taco is a donationware HTML editor. Two things that I immediately like about it are: I can choose the background color of the editor (sometimes I'm just plain sick of white), and the code can be colored, which makes it easier to visualize the various elements of the page.

Within the editor, you can highlight text and then use the Format Tags drop-down to choose code to wrap around that text. There are also code snippets built in (such as accented characters) and you can add your own snippets.

There are several wizards as well for doing things like creating tables; my favorite is an image map wizard. If you hover your pointer over the image of the wizard below you'll see what can be acheived.

As well as captions, the hot spots can point to other URLs. There are also a couple of built in preview panes, but they don't show linked javascript content. Taco is a very neat app, even just for the image mapper...
